4 Advantages of Using UV Printing Machines

UV printing is the most-efficient way to produce printed material in the commercial field and is starting to become the new standard. It has a variety of advantages, including flexibility, durability, high print qualities, and fast curing speeds. UV printed is appreciated for its ability to print on uncoated stocks and unusual substrates. Besides the actual printer, UV inks also come with a variety of advantages compared to standard solvent-based inks. They are more environmentally friendly for one. They also provide a nice gloss, sharp contrast, resistance to smearing, light-fastness, and good opacity. Because the UV inks do not rely on evaporative agents, the ink does not stick or thicken during the press run. Here are four of the major advantages of UV printers: Flexibility A UV printing machine is designed to print on virtually any non-absorbent or absorbent surface. This flexibility in printing makes it possible to easily print on more surfaces than every before. Printing on non-porous surfaces like hardboard and Styrene is now more common. A small print shop is given the option of printing on hundreds of different formats such as large banners, cards, clings, book covers, and similar retail items. High Quality UV printing means it is possible to avoid repeated runs through a traditional press machine due to low-quality prints. Since the UV inks are designed to sit on the surface of the printed material, it does not absorb the liquid. Therefore print work stays nice and crisp with vibrant and high-gloss colors. Durability A large banner with an image added using a UV printer is much more resilient to sun exposure, wear and tear, and scratches compared to the more traditional printing techniques. This is certain to benefit the companies displaying the large promotional signs since it is much less likely to appear weather-worn after one or two weeks in the sun. Curing Speeds A UV printer using instant drying ink means it is possible to work faster and more efficiently. Since the ink is dry the instant it leaves the printer there is no more issues related to ghosting of images or waiting to do proofs. The faster work process means it is possible to move to the finishing and binding work sooner. All in all, for the customer searching for increased flexibility, durability, and speed for the wide-ranging commercial needs, the UV printer is certain to offer one of the most desirable pieces of equipment in the industry. Trade Show Printing and Direct Mail Campaigns for 2021

Convention organizers need to realize that trade show printing is not limited to show dailies and brochures. Because of the economy, convention attendees have higher expectations than ever. Every trip to a convention has to be justified and vetted and it’s difficult for attendees to do this when convention organizers have little to offer in way of customized services.

This is why it is necessary for organizers and exhibitors to take extra steps to prove that attending trade shows is more than a luxury. In 2021 the best way to do this is to include direct mail campaigns in all aspects of the convention.

Moving Beyond Generic Postcard Mailers

It’s not uncommon for large organizations to use personalized mailings for the initial announcements and postcard mailers to a convention. This is a basic level of service and can sometimes be done in house. But the mailings are often generic and it is easy to see that they aren’t really personalized.

Show organizers and exhibitors should work with a commercial printer that can create multi-styled campaigns based on the interests and prior activities of trade show attendees. For example, more personalized mailers should include information that is specific to the attendee’s industry, location, and job responsibilities.

Custom Direct Mail Campaigns

Organizers need to prove that attending the show will be worthwhile for companies by showing that such an array of information will be impossible to find anywhere else. After the initial invitation, organizers should implement direct mail campaigns: mailing a list of exhibitors, presentations, and lectures that may interest the potential attendee.

Although it can be convenient to do this via email, organizers also need to use print versions because physical material shows commitment. Plus, custom printed direct mail is more likely to be opened than an email.

Once potential attendees have expressed an interest in the show, organizers should continue to follow up with postcard mailers, much in the same way that candidates for office use political postcards to remind constituents to vote.

After a commitment to attend, organizers can then send personalized schedules, including hotel and airline recommendations.

Commercial Printing – The Benefits

Printing is one of the most important business functions that exist. This is true both inside and outside of the office. Of course, a desktop printer simply isn’t enough in order to handle commercial printing jobs.

Taking advantage of commercial printing service is important in order for a business to be able to project itself in the best light possible. Consider what goes through a customer’s mind when they compare to products while they are shopping. If it comes down to it, the customer will choose the product that has the best label. Low-quality printing may not necessarily indicate a lower quality company, but a consumer doesn’t have a great deal more information to rely on in most cases.

In order to make the best possible impression on your customers, you need to make sure that you are using the highest quality printing services available. This can rarely be achieved within the house, even with some of the most expensive equipment available being at hand.

This is no less true in the business world. In order for businesses to associate with one another, they have to view one another in a positive light. It may sound funny, but the quality of something as simple as a business card can have a surprising psychological effect on the way that you are perceived. A business card that is simultaneously professional and high in quality (but not loud or boisterous) could be the turning point in the way that you or your business is viewed by a potential business partner.

Taking advantage of high-quality commercial printing services is important if you want to make the best possible impression on the individual or organization that you are communicating with. Consider flyers. Flyers are one of the most inexpensive forms of marketing. They can be passed around and viewed by several people. A high-quality flyer is more likely to draw the eye. A flyer does no good if people don’t even look at it. In addition to this, a flyer that is made with high-quality materials is less likely to become damaged as it is passed around, increasing the possibility that it will pass through multiple people’s hands.

In most cases, it is also much more cost-effective to work with a commercial printing service than by attempting to handle it in house. Because of the fact that printing is their core business function, they will invest all of their resources in providing the highest quality, lowest cost prints possible.

Commercial Printing: Make It Do Wonders for Your Cause

Whether you are running for office or you just want to promote a specific product or a rallying slogan, let commercial printing proclaim your message for you. Being prominently displayed will certainly help the public recognize you and your cause. Make sure to choose a catchy color combination and design that they will immediately remember and associate with you. You will surely appreciate how people will easily identify you with your printed matter.

You and Your Message

You may want to be easily recognized because you are running for a position in school, in the office, in the community, or in government. You want people to recognize you wherever you go, and to associate you with a particular theme or slogan. You want to be part of their everyday lives so that they will remember you when the time comes to choose a leader, or it is time to make a decision regarding a controversial issue. As long as you have a valid and substantial point, advertising yourself through commercial printing may help your cause.

The Power of the Visual Medium

Just like spreading information through word of mouth, letting yourself and your message be constantly seen is one effective way to spread it. For some, television advertising may be a bit too expensive. Here is where commercial printing can help. Although you will still need to spend a considerable amount of money, you will get more for what you pay for. A thirty-second television spot could be equivalent to tons of brochures, newsletters, and posters. You might be able to reach areas that television cannot. People will constantly see your face and your message plastered on walls, posts, or in their mailboxes. You can even use everyday items such as coffee mugs, calendars, shirts, bags, and the like. The more often you and your message are seen, the better your chances are, assuming that the public genuinely believes in you. Sooner or later, you will get into their subconscious, and hopefully, your message has been drilled in.

What Products Can You Use

Aside from the usual leaflets, brochures, and newsletters, you may use posters, notepads, envelopes, folders, calendars, door hangers, shirts, keychains, bags, fans, coffee mugs and anything else that you expect your target audience to use often. If you are promoting your message in an office, there are tons of office paraphernalia that employees will gladly use. If your venue is a school, the faculty also makes use of a lot of things that can bear the imprint of your message.

Online Printing Convenience

You will be pleased to know that commercial printing jobs just got more convenient because of online print management. You will be given an account as a client, wherein you will be able to keep track of your printing jobs, make changes to your orders, request for copies of invoices, ask for product estimates, view other available products, and eventually place new orders.

Be sure to include commercial printing in your list of advertising options. The more striking and attractive-looking your design is, the more popular it will be. Choose something hip and stylish that will appeal to all age brackets and people of different social standing. Keep your message short and succinct for faster recall.

What Commercial Printing Can Do For You

Commercial printing is on the rise. Advertising and marketing experts rely on commercial printers to have their prints done in a way that they want and when they want it. Marketing strategies rely on effective print mediums in order to maximize its effect over the target audience. Here is a closer look at what commercial printing can do for you.

How will you get it printed?
There are different printing technologies that your printing company can offer you – digital and offset printing. It is best that you have a printing company that offers both of these services so that you can maximize the options that you can do with your prints. Having both digital and offset printing processes available will make your printing experience fast and easy.

Digital printing involves direct to printer technology that allows you to print your materials quickly and easily. It is a process that specializes in making short-run prints and on-demand prints available and easily accessible to a bunch of people. If you have short orders or if you want your prints done easily, fast, and on-demand, then digital printing is the way to go.

Offset printing on the other hand involves the use of plates in order for the prints to be done. Plates are used as guides and they pass through ink rollers in order for your prints to be done. Offset printers specialize in creating and accommodating bulk orders. Because of its very high impression speeds, your prints can be done easily and at a very high quality.

Fast Turnaround Times
Whatever printing method that you choose, whether digital or offset, you are assured of having fast turnaround times since both printing methods are effective in producing those orders. With today’s technology, even the production of plates is much easier – allowing you for a quicker and faster turn around time. The digital printing method also allows for printing on demand that allows you to specify when you want your prints done.

Quick and easy access
Also, commercial printers usually have websites where you can post your orders on. You no longer need to go to a printing company personally but you can now order through the internet and let them deliver your prints straight to your home or office.

Uploading your files is also very easy. Just follow the instructions on the websites and with just a few clicks, your designs can be sent to the printing companies. There are also FTP file servers that allow for easy uploading of files that have sizes 50MB and up.

An important reminder: Always check your proofs
Proofs are very important if you want to make sure that your prints are error-free. Approving the proofs is the last stage of the printing process before your designs are sent to the printer so better make sure that there are no misspelled words and that there are no misaligned elements that you want to change later. Once your proofs are approved and sent to the printer, you can’t do anything about it and just wait for the final outcome.

Offset Printing in Commercial Printing?

In the world of commercial printing, particularly when dealing with printing high volumes, offset printing would be considered the most popular technique. But what is it? In order to understand the principles behind it, we need to first look at the lithographic process.

In lithography, you start off with a metallic plate or stone whose surface is totally smooth. Whatever text or image you want to be printed is initially written/painted/drawn onto the surface with ink (oil-based). It is then fixed onto this surface by using a chemical process. So when you want to print the image or text, you roll oil-based ink on the plate then place a piece of paper on top with little pressure. Since the surface has been separated into hydrophobic (accept ink) and hydrophilic sections (reject ink), only the image shows up on the paper, which is what you want.

Now, with offset printing, instead of directly printing the image from the plate onto paper, it is transferred to a rubber surface first then onto paper. That is why sometimes, this technique is also referred to as offset lithography. The result is a clearer image.

So why is this technique so popular? Probably the biggest reason is associated with economies of scale. As volume increases, the cost of printing per page decreases. A majority of the cost is in the initial preparation. However, with each additional print, you would be generally paying only for the paper and ink, which is relatively small in cost. At the same time, you can still maintain high quality in each printing, which is a huge advantage – consistently clean and sharp images. Another positive factor is that the printing plates can be easily and rapidly produced. On top of that, the plates from this process last longer than the traditional lithographic process since the plates don’t come in direct contact with the paper.

Of course, offset commercial printing is not without its flaws. From a cost perspective, the initial setup of the printing press (briefly mentioned earlier) may represent a deterrent. It wouldn’t recommend that if your printing job is of small quantity to use this method. Also, if the printing plates are not properly and regularly maintained, they can oxidize which leads to negative images being printed.

So basically, if you need a very large amount of printing done, retain high quality in each and every print, plus still be cost-efficient with the entire process, then offset printing is a suitable choice indeed.
